About

I’ve been obsessed with writing and public speaking since I was a kid when I used to dream of becoming the next Judy Bailey. However, after three years at university and a Communications degree later, I realised the world of daily news wasn’t quite for me. All wasn’t lost though as during my studies I discovered a love for radio and storytelling.

I went on to become a copywriter at a local radio station before taking a two-year stint as a European tour guide. When I returned to New Zealand, I continued working in media, marketing, and events in roles that have all helped shape the celebrant and MC I am today.

​

In 2015, my husband and I came to Wānaka for a wedding… and fell head over heels for the lifestyle. Within weeks of returning to Auckland, we made the decision to stop following careers and start building the life we wanted. We quit our jobs, sold nearly everything we owned, and made the three-day drive south to start our exciting new life in Central Otago. Everyone thought we were mad but we’ve never looked back.

Since moving, we’ve had two beautiful boys, Will and Max, plus we got a border collie-cross called Molly and a cat named Neela. I’ve learnt to ski, and developed a love for hiking in the mountains. 

​

I pride myself on going above and beyond to create completely personalised ceremonies, and to understand your event inside and out so that the part that I play reflects the exact tone and vibe you’re after. People often tell me they thought I was a close friend of the family after a ceremony or event and honestly, that’s the highest compliment.
